Kids Yoga and Mindfulness
Empowering Yoga and Mindfulness for Youth
In this yoga class, your youth will build confidence and coordination in their growing bodies, as well as cultivate mental focus, curiosity, self-inquiry, positive thought, good boundaries and clear communication within a safe and communal environment where independent practice and social interactivity are both encouraged.
Mindfulness and breathing techniques are also introduced to develop tools for calming the mind and regulating the energy in the body. These are reinforced during the guided relaxation at the end of the session.
If your child is challenged with anxiety or depression, these yoga tools can make all the difference for life of internal balance. At the end of this session, students will leave feeling empowered, embodied and relaxed.
Kids Yoga Adventures
Kid’s Yoga Adventures is a fun and creative way to practice yoga while learning life skills. The program is especially designed as a playful adventure story or game with a different theme each class. The kids practice yoga poses within the story or game structure and are encouraged to approach various joys and challenges with curiosity, inquiry, positive thought and clear communication.
Give your child the opportunity to develop physical awareness and control, mental focus, and tools for the safe release of tension and excess emotional energy in the body! Proper breathing is also introduced in the class to develop tools for calming the mind and regulating their energy, along with a short guided relaxation at the end of each class. This program is so fantastic that parents will wish they were kids again!

Youth Mindfulness for Mental Health
Designed for youth in their teens, this mindfulness class focuses on teaching students some tools for improving and managing mental well-being, so that they can be equipped to face life's ups and downs. Participants will learn breathing exercises and learn to meditate themselves, wherever they are, whatever may be happening.
Through mindfulness games and activities in these sessions, students explore the nature of the mind, the effects of positive thinking, the power of the breath, and the senses as tools for focus rather than distraction. The benefits of this work include developing awareness and concentration, inciting curiosity and open-mindedness, and regulating energy through conscious relaxation and self-acceptance.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"From all the time I’ve known and have been taught by Tanya, I have been given a bigger aspect as to who I am and where I am going. Every yoga session as well as encounters in public remind me of the true meaning of my life. She has taught me to look beyond and focus on what things mean and what their purpose is. Tanya has been a big help to me, as well as the rest of my family in times of need, and is always calming and reassuring."
